This movie this movie is the reason i hate daredevil the character I've hated this movie since i was what 7ish and it came out in 2003
Elektra was a worse than Daredevil. The director's cut is even decent.
Your intro picks on 1984 Supergirl but Helen Slater is adorable in it, Peter O'toole can save anything, and the witch bit is almost Witches of Eastwicky.
I think you're forgetting the era in which this movie was made... Colin Ferrell wasn't well known. He had done what? Phone Booth, The Recruit, SWAT? The soundtrack as well is indicative, it practically made Evanescence popular overnight. They really were using it un-ironically. I could go on, but yeah, DareDevil ia definitely a product of it's time.
For some reason, this movie has a soft spot in my heart.
Catwoman crying in the corner😂
This movie probably sucks ye, but definitely not the worst superheromovie as long there is a "Catwoman" "Fantastic 4 2015"
For me it’s the music especially the evenesence song like what
16:52 is such a legendary laugh
I mean not worst than batman and robin imo.
I forgot how f*cking atrocious the music in this masterpiece of cinema was.
13:51 Yeah but Green Arrow and Black Canary just work as a superhero couple.
Elektra was better change my mind
10:55 ayo that’s me 😳
Im an outlaw
Bit late to the party, but the motorcycle explosion scene's purpose was to make DD unable to catch the flying ninja stick by having the sound of it distorted by the sound of the motorcycle explosion. Still a dumb scene overall, but I just wanted to point that out. *leaves with rattlesnake noises in the background*
Wait till the blind people see this movie... wait a second
Why would you try to catch a fast moving three spiked weapon thrown by the guy who's whole thing is THROWING THINGS SUPER FAST AND ACCURATELY
I thought the title was “Daredevil was the worst superhero ever made” I almost pulled my hair out
Actually many cowboys were from Ireland like many americans lol
I mean...there is the electra movie, its even worse
you tripping, 1/10
You missed another funny music inclusion, thanks to Todd in the Shadows for this one, but in Bullseyes introduction “shamrocks and shenanigans” by House of Pain
dude the flashback is only 20 minutes long. How is that 90% of the movie?
U know what everything sucks for u
K-O! LOL OK! I expected a video series telling me why everything sucks was going going to be pretty dreary and only for whiney comic book fans (and yes, Virginia, there are comic book fans who aren't whiney), but this is actually pretty entertaining and even - gasp! - insightful.
Well in Daredevil 45 he sleeps in a coffin!
There is a difference between the worst superhero and the most hated. There are films that are really bad but then there are films that are still bad but not as bad, but hate them a lot. I think it's when the films are bad and they offend us in some way, like they change the character or they don't respect the mythology.
If you disliked the electra character in the tv show... Grow up... It's the best thing they could do to daredevil
Im waiting for a blind person to comment so I can know about the sensory deprivation chamber
Daredevil didn't kill bullseye tho, maybe he tried too but he's still alive
10:52 that’d actually be pretty sick ngl
It's not a cartwheel kick.
Don"t get me wrong, but many movies are so awful that there a reason as to why I prefer animated versions, somehow they are always better, you just gotta hate people who mislead you by saying that you should watch non-animated stuff only, the thing is that the cover is not important, but animated version are very easy to make as they should be, for instance you don"T need to find suitable actors and equipment, you just need to draw/animate it.
Fant4stic and Batman and Robin are far worse than Daredevil.
No, its not
is that aesop rock im.hearin ?
Are you sure that's supposed to be Bullseye and not Sparky Sparky Boom Man?
Hey youtube, I'm not the bad guy
catwoman was worse
When I was a little kid, I thought this movie and the music was super cool.
I actually loved that movie 🍿🎥 , and I used to watch it alot , but I'm 32 from africa with no internet or satalit TV so I really didn't have much options
Nah, it was definately Alicia Silverstone and Val Kilmer's Batman and Robin. OH LORD, how bad was it. Daredevil, was boring but not bad.
Me: **Hold my Fant4stic**
This film is so bad its good
I can’t get over the fact that for every moment he talked about bad superhero movies he put X-men origins: The wolverine in the background, one of my favourite suoerhero movies
*Hey !I respectively disagree! I purely honestly love the 2003 Daredevil pre-MCU film starring Ben Affleck as the blind lawyer/Marvel superhero blessed with superhuman senses Matt Murdock aka Daredevil!Daredevil is like the metaphoricalbeloved fraternal twin of the Marvel superhero Peter Parker aka Spider-Man!It'sa beautiful underrated masterpiece and it'sthe best in my honest opinion and book and I purely love it: awesome origin story, special effects, sympathetic main hero character, superhuman powers, action scenes, awesome cast, romance, mystery, lovely music and a beautiful message about faith ,courage hope, justice and what it truly means to be fearless! To each their own! I'm looking forward for the reboot, recast, reinvention rebirth and reintroduction of Marvel superhero Daredevil in future MCU films!* ;D
D
u suck not the movie
16:34 alright who tf is this and why does this same person show up in his videos?
Daredevil is the best superhero movie ever made
there was an end credit scene with bullseye setting up a sequel lmao
When it came out I kind of liked it. And I'm no fan of Ben Affleck. But I could see why people thought it was a shitty movie. But the worst? Come on, there have been some horrible superhero movies going back to the 90s. It's much better than anything Joel Schumacher ever did. So if you want to really start scraping the bottom of the barrel I'd look at those two shitty Batman movies.
The only super hero relationship I can think of that is pretty cool is Batman and Wonderwoman
To be fair about Bring me to Life: when that movie came out, it came out around the same time the song did. That movie was probably the first time many people would have heard the song, it was on the soundtrack too. It wasn’t the meme that it is now. Now, it still doesn’t take away from how cringe, dated, and hilarious the song is IN the movie. But I don’t think they said “Hey! People love that Evanescence song! Let’s put it in our movie!” It just so happens that the song became Evanscence’s most popular and meme-able song.
TCVH: There can't be a worse CBM than Daredevil. Ghost Rider: Hold my beer.
Fant4stic: Amateurs.
No i really like the movie
8:25 is the best thing I've ever heard. I never actually thought about it like that. My lad's just swinging his shit around n his apartment - in pitch black.
I won't say the movie is great, but I've seen A LOT of really bad superhero movies that are a LOT worse than Dare Devil. Its not even CLOSE to the worst superhero movie ever. The Roger Corman Fantastic Four buries this, the first Captain America movie made in the 90's is worse, just about ANY superhero movie made prior to the 90's is probably worse. Like seriously, compared to some of those films, this movie is at the very least well made and uses actual Dare Devil supervillains from the comics.. That alone elevates it to be above 90 percent of the super hero movies that are really really bad..
11:06 I had no idea you were so racist
I'm just gonna say that daredevil soundtrack is the best superhero soundtrack ever. That's it. No that's it
The scenes where you put an anime girl dancing make me uncomfortable
i forgot that daredevil straight-up committed murder in the movie by splitting a guy on the railroad tracks. like holy shit, so much of the show is about matt's no-kill rule and he does NOT kill and the plot of s3 is literally about matt considering killing fisk and how if he were to actually kill him it would be crossing a line that he cannot come back from. but. yknow. ben affleck's matt murdock just lets a guy be split in half by a train.
Seeing Kingpin beat that dudes head in with that music is actually pretty sick. It fits unironically well 😂
Has anyone even seen the Elektra movie? They made a “sequel” to this starring Jennifer Garner
It’s them playing “wake me up” in this movie for me
nice going with the brazilian background music. Boa garotão!
Oh well in Daredevil #45, he sleeps in a coffin
God I miss the daredevil show
i just want to say my favorite heroes dont know why 1. nightwing 2.batman 3. captain america 4. the flash 5. spiderman
@Kryptoskillet mainstream is good!
I’ll go. 1. Spider-Man 2. Superman 3. Captain America 4. Flash 5. Hulk
I wanna go too 1.punisher 2.ghost rider 3. Dr strange 4. Star lord 5. Batman
This movie is amazing, bullseye in the airport scene is my single favourite thing ever
When I was 13 I really enjoyed this movie and it’s soundtrack.
Daredevil: I'm the worst superhero movie ever made! Batman & Robin: Hold my beer buddy! (Joel Schumacher)
Fant4stic: Amateurs.
WAIT A DAMN MINUTE IF THIS DUDE SAID HE DONT CARE IF THINGS ARE CHANGED FROM THE COMICS AND THEN STARTS CRYING WHEN BATFLECK STARTS KILLING THIS DUDES A HIPOCRYTE
He doesn't get mad at that dumb fuck, that also happened in the comments.
yes.
What dare devil was fucking awesome
The “Or, if you prefer” bit was the funniest shit in this video. I grew up on this movie blindly hyped up for any action I could get, but never realized kids were cheering on a fight between a woman and a blind man. Hilarious
Interesting how you claim to not care about being faithful to the comics and then point out the coffin.
Its goofy, that's all he was saying
loved the video but read Elektra assassin
Yo, that bit where the Evanescence song goes "all this time I can't believe I couldn't see" and it pans to Ben Afleck and you just crack up, cracked me the fuck up. Good series, Marcus.
I know you will probably never see this comment but, I loved the soundtrack of this movie as a preteen. Lol. I cringe so hard thinking about it now. 😂
Ah best part is when bullseye dies on the hood of the car and all the cops just go "freeze!". Like ya....he's dead bruh
the fucking anime is so fucking degenerate but also it is also kinda funny
Hi Sir, I like the movie, it tells the birth of DareDevil very well. superheroes is fantasy so I dont know why you pick with some details , some creative thinking was used on the movie. Best ranked movies even more have flaws. Dont know why you hate the movie... Best regards
My girlfriend loved this movie, so I showed her the Netflix series and she still preferred this. I still have no idea how to feel about that
Daredevil is not the worst marvel film that goes to the fantastic 4 reboot that i think came out back in 2016
14:48 Did he just say “Look at that” to a blind person???
weird..it's one of my favorite superhero movies ever...proof that one shouldn't let himself be influenced by critics...just watch it and decide for yourself.
Yeah no. Catwoman and F4ntastic are crap. The Daredevil movie, particularly the Director's Cut, is actually alright. The movie is faithful to the comics in many ways the series is not, such as actually wearing the suit and using his iconic billy club weapon, whereas it takes Netflix Matt a whole season to get his costume and weapon and even then he almost never uses his stick, this is like Batman never using his Bat-gadgets. Even Nolan's realistic version had batarangs. Not to mention the movie does a hell of a job showcasing Daredevil's Radar sense and other powers (you know the whole reason he's a unique hero) whereas the show mentions the Radar like once and his powers are essentially just close ups of Charlie's face sensing shit every once in a while. Movie DD's arsenal is far cooler, in the comics, particularly the earlier ones, his billy club had a gazillion uses and configurations. Here they tone it down a bit but it can still be a blindman's stick, billy clubs, a nunchaku, a bo staff in two different versions, a manrikigusari, a grappling hook, escrima sticks, etc. In the show, he almost never uses any weapons and is treated as essentially just a very angry dude punching people in a compression shirt. Movie DD is also more formidable as a fighter, he takes out whole rooms of armed goons shooting at him from every side. Even when he's critically injured he defeats fresh versions of Bullseye and Kingpin while still remaining human (they do show the toll his vigilantism takes on his body). In contrast Netflix DD gets his ass kicked routinely by normal thugs even when he wins. He gets almost killed by Nobu too. Elektra in this movie is just as different from the comic as she is different in the show. Neither version is particularly great, although at least Elektra does use her Sai in this movie (and her own movie, which was pretty bad) while she only uses them very little in the show. Bullseye is widely different, but the comics eventually incorporated elements of this design into them. Netflix Bullseye is just as different, so both versions aren't particularly faithful. Michael Clarke Duncan played a hell of a Kingpin. His was a more mature, confident Kingpin, while Vincent D'Onofrio was more unstable and less self-assured. To me they're just different interpretations of the character, and I love them both. Of course the show is better, but it does bother me how toned down from the comics Daredevil is in an effort to make it "realistic". Watch a docuseries for realism, superheroes aren't realistic. It's nowhere near as bad as Catwoman or Eric Bana's Hulk or F4antastic. Not even close to being the worst superhero movie. I'll take it any day over Captain Marvel, Thor 2 or Iron Man 3. Also you're completely mistaken about the sensory deprivation tank. You should research that stuff better as some people might be offended. Charlie Cox said he loved Ben Affleck's Daredevil and that he 'stole' from his interpretation, and that he liked the movie, so that's worth more to me than a million youtube videos.
@Waffle McMulligan That's not WHY, I'm pointing out the things the movie does better in terms of being faithful. Only childish person here is the piece of shit asshole thinking he's better than anyone else because of his taste in superhero movies. You're beyond pathetic.
If that’s why you like the movie better than the series, than you must watch movies for very childish reasons. Most people like the series because it’s a very good, well written, excellently directed emotional drama. The movie is just a dumb, inconsistent, cringy early 2000s superhero movie. If that’s what you want out of it than that’s fine, but don’t tell people they are wrong for preferring an intense emotional drama over a campy superhero movie.
11:00-11:07 very subtle...
7:04 sounds a lot like a BB song.
I dind't ask to get Stuckmannized.
there have been much worse superhero movies than Daredevil. Not counting the low budget movies they are, Superman 3 and 4 Batman and Robin All the Amazing Spiderman movies Superman Returns Justice league The Fantastic Four remake Captain Marvel Aquaman Wonderwoman 1984 Thor Ragnarock Spiderman homecoming Gardians of the Galaxy 2.
@William Penn jr. I never said that it had to be action, but I honestly don’t know what’s going on in your head if you find Guardians 2 boring. It’s definitely more interesting than most movies. It seems more likely that you just weren’t really invested in it because you either hadn’t seen the first one, weren’t paying too much attention, or just didn’t really care to think about the movie. I can see why you might just not like the movie, but being bored the whole way through? I have no clue how that happened
@Waffle McMulligan I never said it had a pacing problem or lacked action. I said it was boring. Action doesn't make anything less boring. Many films have no action yet are very interesting. Action doesn't make up for lack of an interesting story, or cover up unfunny attempts at humor.
@Kryptoskillet I get that. I personally think the second one is even worse and while I don’t think it *is* the worst, it could definitely be argued that it is. Personally, my least favorite superhero movie is BvS, but that’s mainly because I’m a huge fan of Batman and Superman, so I’m a little biased
@Waffle McMulligan Yes. There are few superhero movies worse than the abomination that is The Amazing Spider-Man. The thing that bugs me is that it isn’t the worst superhero movie ever made.
@Kryptoskillet Way worse than the second one?
The lazy eagle fittingly improve because message basically march unto a mountainous bear. wandering, cold wish
Show Kingpin being introduced with Outlaw by NERD playing would be great don’t lie
BRING ME TO LIFEEEEEEEE
I really hope he goes over spawn eventually
That "Jesus Christ" kid thing cracks me up
Steel, starring Shaq. 90's cringe, and cheese, and dare i say guilty pleasure. Makes kazaam seem like shakespeare at times.
They gave daredevil echolocation and the ability to jump off buildings, I guess being blind takes away fall damage
At least it brought attention to will fisk/kingpin, at a time, they shouldve done JOKER type movie and name the movie "Kingpin"
By the way, humans can use echolocation by making sounds by tapping things: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_echolocation
